About
Harvest Church
of the Keweenaw

Our Vision

Our passion is to empower the people of God unto healing and restoration, reclaiming their true identity in Christ as much-loved sons and daughters of the Father.

Our desire is to train and equip, then release the body of Christ into their God-given purposes.

Our vision is to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. By demonstrating the love of Father God to individuals, they will experience that God is alive, powerful, personal, and mighty to save.

What We Believe

About God

We believe there is only one true God revealed as God the Father, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. He is Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and Judge of all He created.

….and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord….

~Romans 1:4 ESV

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

~Colossians 1:15-20 ESV

About the Bible

We believe the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is God’s Word to mankind. It has authority, is true, and applicable to our lives today.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

~2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

….knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

~2 Peter 1:20-21 ESV

About Salvation

We believe sin separates us from God. Jesus, born of a virgin, paid the sacrifice for our sin by laying down His life on the cross; He rose from the dead, defeating evil, and therefore provided a way for us to enter into right relationship with God.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
~Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

~John 3:16 ESV

….because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
~Romans 10:9-10 ESV

About Grace

We believe by grace we are able to repent of sin and trust in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross as the remedy for our sin. By faith we are united with Christ in a new birth, bringing us back into fellowship with God.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

~Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

About Holy Spirit

We believe Holy Spirit still speaks, enables us to live as overcomers, and He empowers us with ministry gifts.

And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.
~Acts 1:4-5 ESV

About Divine Healing

We believe the work of Christ provided for divine healing, deliverance from evil spirits, and salvation from sin—this is the Good News of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
~Isaiah 53:4-5 ESV

And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
~Matthew 4:23-25 ESV

And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.
~Luke 9:1-2 ESV

Leadership

Welcome. We are Ron and Renee Grochowski.

In 2022, Father’s Heart Ministries and Harvest Church of the Keweenaw have become linked in expanding the Kingdom of God throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Renee and Ron Grochowski have accepted the Pastor position at Harvest Church of the Keweenaw in Calumet, Michigan.

We invite you to learn about each of us.

From Renee

A lifelong caregiver and connector, I’m an ordained minister, and for more than 20 years I have ministered locally, regionally, and internationally. Answering God’s call to full-time ministry and touching His people to bring them life and hope has been the most glorious privilege of my life.

As a child, I attended church, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ. At 18, I married Ron. We really grew up together, and our life has taken us to several states and given us three beautiful children. While raising our children, I earned degrees in nursing from Northern Michigan University and Finlandia University, and for many years I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Upper Peninsula.

When I was 30, God called, and Ron and I accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This opened us to a very profound understanding of the heart and love of the Father, which has carried us through decades of growth, love, and healing and put us on the path to our work today.

Welcome to our community. God loves you, and so do we. I look forward to being part of your journey with Him.

From Ron

I grew up in a large Catholic family, but like Renee, I knew Christ for many years with only my head, not my heart. Renee and I were called together to God, and learning to know the heart of the Father and do his work has shaped the last four decades of my life.

I served in the Coast Guard and worked as a building contractor early in my career. Later, I earned a degree in engineering from Michigan Technological University and became a licensed civil engineer. When God called me to this work, I was able to draw on my skills in construction and engineering to breathe new life into our building. In my role with Father’s Heart Ministries, I focus on facility improvement, to make real the possibilities of this historic building. I also oversee all support ministries.

From us both

Today, we’ve been married for more than 50 years. We have dedicated our lives to serving the body of Christ, bringing together our gifts and strengths to become more than the sum of their parts. Through Father’s Heart, we are working to realize the vision God has given us to create a community center of hope and healing. In our home and in our church, we strive to create a welcoming place where we can minister in prayer, deliverance, counseling, and encouragement to help you know and be held in the love of the Father.

Our roots in the Upper Peninsula are deep and true. We have three married children, eight beautiful grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, who all reside in the UP.
